We Support Skill Development And We Never Give Up

Skill Development

Self Employment

Skill Development is training for a specific career or occupation except for professionals. Vocational training focuses on the practical application of learned skills and is generally not related to theory or traditional academic skills. A large part of education in vocational schools is on training. Skill Development thus provides a link between education and the working world. It is usually provided either in high school or later in secondary trade school.

The majority of parents in Darbhanga District and Nearby areas see their people as a financial investment. From an early age, they can help to earn money and when parents are told they would be expected to support them. However, Women are normally considered a financial burden and, due to poverty, no special provision is provided for them.

The “MAHILA EVAM SHISHU KALYAN PARISHAD ” is striving to bridge this gap by offering IT related training to poor people and underprivileged children through Computer Vocational Training Centre in Darbhanga, Bihar in India. The main objective of the proposed project is to provide computer training to the women, youth and needy people with a focus on computer literacy and Income generation. Taking a step forward, we would like to emphasize on creating opportunities for the children to develop technical / Skill Development that will enable them to be self-sufficient and secure more job opportunities.

The NGO recognizes that India is fast emerging as the front-runner in Information Technology. With an education in cities emphasizing computer education and literacy, there are quite a few educational institutions in remote villages and towns that are lagging. UNESCO data shows that only 10.36 % of schools (rural and urban) in India have computers. The percentage of schools in the rural area having computers is much lower. UNICEF 2005 research estimates show that there are 25,700,000 orphan children (0-17 years) in India (3% of India’s population).
